What To Do If Your Dog Has Been Poisoned

If you suspect that your dog has been poisoned by Temik (street names: Two Step / Aldicarb).
Remain calm and immediately follow these steps:

#1. Salt

Induce vomiting by first giving your dog a strong dilution of salt with 200ml water and inject into the dogs mouth.

An alternative Remedy: Laundry powder

1 handful of laundry powder, add water to make a paste and feed to the dog.
The dog will get nauseous and vomit out their stomach contents.

Next, follow step 2

#2. Activated Charcoal Powder

Mix the charcoal powder with water and inject into the dogs mouth
Dogs (1-10kg): 5ml water/5ml charcoal
Dogs (10kg & more) 10ml water/10ml charcoal

Take your dog to the vet immediately.

  • Please use gloves when treating your dog as the poison is highly toxic and can be absorbed by your skin
  • Ensure the yard is cleaned up by a professional company
  • This is only First Aid treatment. Medical treatment must be given by a qualified veterinarian
