The Universitas West Neighbourhood Association extends its heartfelt thanks to Mauritz, James, and Velaphi for their dedicated efforts during a recent full-day clean-up. The team tackled several servitude areas in Ryno Kriel, including the pump station, De Bruyn Street, and Pikkie Park.

They successfully cleared a massive volume of illegally dumped waste. From household refuse and recyclables to a decomposing buck carcass was removed. The scale of the project was immense; the team utilized specialized clear bags, each holding the equivalent of four standard black bags. The Association also wishes to give special recognition to Mauritz for his logistical support in transporting the refuse and his continued commitment during additional weekend clean-ups on Jim Fouché Avenue. Their hard work has significantly enhanced the safety and livability of our community.
