UWNA Management cleaned up and tidied the Kwartzpark area on Friday, 4 September 2026. This park is increasingly being frequented by so-called “Blessers” (young, affluent working professionals) who pick up female students—residents of nearby student accommodation—in their cars. These gatherings, which involve heavy drinking, take place primarily on Fridays and Mondays. After the sessions, bags full of empty bottles are simply left behind on the walkways. UWNA cleans the park on Fridays and Mondays. We are scheduled to meet with MMM Law Enforcement on Monday, 7 September 2026, to request assistance in putting a stop to drinking in public areas. Heinrich also provides a worker to clean and maintain the park once a week. Thanks go to the residents of Jacob Street who contribute financially to this project.
