Water Supply Interruption – Southern Parts of Mangaung

Mangaung residents are hereby notified of a water supply interruption that will take place on 05 December 2025 from 06h00 – 18h00. The southern areas of the city that a temporary interruption of water supply will occur due to essential maintenance work on the bulk water infrastructure.
The work is necessary to ensure system reliability, reduce ongoing leakages, and safeguard the network from future failures. Teams will be on site through- out the process, and all efforts will be made to restore supply as quickly as pos- sible.
Affected Areas are based within the Southern Mangaung, including surrounding neighbourhoods and additional areas may be affected depending on system pressure conditions.

The purpose for the interruption is for:
• Scheduled maintenance and repair of critical bulk water components
• Protection of infrastructure from further damage
• Ensuring improved service stability

Residents are kindly advised to:
• Store sufficient water in advance
•Keep taps closed to avoid flooding when supply resumes
• Use water sparingly during recovery periods
